Poetry Pleases: The Three Gardens

Brian Jenkinson brings us a poem for Easter Day.

When Adam lost his Eden home,
Just for an apple's sake,
He blamed the sin on Eve, his wife,
And she, upon the snake.

When Christ in dark Gethsemane
Obeyed the Father's call,
He felt the weight of human sins
And took the blame for all.

When in the Easter Garden Christ
Had won his Father's prize,
He gained the promise that we too,
Like him, some day shall rise.
