Poetry Pleases: Back To Basics
There's a big surprise in store for a park keeper in this amusing poem by Audrey Simmons.
The notice said, “No misbehaviour in the park.”
He stood on the grass, took off all his clothes,
Then set off to run.
“Hey!” said the keeper, pointing to the notice.
“Who are you, what are you doing?”
“I’m Adam,” replied the man.
The keeper handed him a fig leaf.
