Poetry Pleases: Clutterbuck

Clutterbuck the dustman is an object of acute desire in Jane Williams's perky poem.

For Clutterbuck the dustman
Insane desire I felt;
When I saw his dustcart coming
My eyeballs seemed to melt!

I’d wait beside my ashcan
Filled with mounting lust
But he always walked on past me
Bent on picking up his dust.

What I always dreamed of
Was to be the plastic bin
He flung across his shoulders
With that devastating grin…

We’d fall into his ash cart,
Me and glorious Clutterbuck,
And make love, oh so wildly,
On his bouncy bed of muck.
