Poetry Pleases: Haiku
Mike Eastwood presents seven haiku, poems which set you thinking by speaking volumes in just three lines.
Leaves slowly falling
Dampness fills the evening air
Clocks are turned back
Morning mists hang low
Early frosts cause leaves to fall
Autumn approaches
The computer whirrs
Magic words and shapes appear
Changing for progress
Animals grazing
Arable crops are abounding
England’s heart beating
Church bells ringing out
Small feet tread the winter snow
Christmas is calling
Farmyard smells abound
Friesian herds slowly wander
Milking sheds waiting
Pain recedes slowly
Deaths winged chariot comes
I wait hopefully
