Living On Three Continents: Cornering The Market

Oh those sweet tangerines! Susan Siddeley's poem features Chilean men who have grabbed a very special corner of the market.

The Hunt Brothers did it with Silver.
Michael J. with a riveting Grab.
McDonald’s perfected the Burger
Antarctica has King Crab.

But the nearest Monopoly for me
goes to Chilean Men of scarce means,
at Traffic Lights patiently selling,
long bags of sweet Tangerines.

I’ve looked elsewhere with my ‘luca’
in search of the small golden treat:
no sign, smell or trace of things.
On Reflection - that’s quite a feat.
