Here's Alison: Football Match

Alison Ross's poem suggests that when a mum goes to watch her son play rugby she should keep her eye on the ball.

Come and watch my match Mum
I heard the young lad say
But she was very busy,
So she didn’t go that day.
She went to watch the netball
Left the Rugby all to Dad
She didn’t go to watch her boy,
It really was so sad!
Finally the last match
Of the season came around
And Lo and Behold,
Mother made the ground!
He played like one inspired
With all his Do and Die
But she chatted on the sideline
And missed his marvellous try.
