Kiwi Konexions: My Lady Moon
Glen Taylor wrote this poem while on holiday in Nelson Bay, Australia.
Oh lady of the night
Your shining orb
Gleams down on bow spit spray,
Cloaking it in silver sheen,
As we cross the bay.
A million stars on high,
Reflected in dark sky,
Attract the wandering eye
From constellation to constellation,
Into infinity.
My road, starting wide,
Ends in a pinpoint of oblivion.
Your silver highway
Begins at my feet
And fills the whole horizon
With promise of eternity.
