Here's Alison: Knight

"Is this my Dashing Knight?'' Alison Ross asks in this poem. And the answer is a resounding yes.

Is this my Dashing Knight?
With crisp and curling hair,
This faded effigy of him
Who stands before me here?

Is this my warrior bold?
With the glint in his dark eye
With lines etched in his face
And his lilting voice, a sigh

Well his clasp is still as firm
And his love as strong today
As that youngster that he was
In that far off yesterday.

Yes he’s my Dashing Knight
And will always be,
For that’s the way I see him,
And he still looks good to me!
