Shooting the Breeze: More free Opera

New and now permanently ad-free in its latest incarnation, Opera represents a genuine alternative web browser. Paul Chan investigates.

A few weeks ago, I mentioned the offer of a free licence code to unlock an advert free version of Opera. A very capable a commercially developed web browser.

The new version 8.5 appears to have been unilaterally offered ad-free but you can still pay around $29 for a supported version where the developers will endeavour to solve any technical problems you have.

It's a fast browser and at an unbeatable price. Why not give it a go?
