Here's Alison: The Office Girl's Farewell

If only all farewell speeches were as warm-hearted witty as the one presented in Alison Ross's poem.

Good-bye Cookie Bear,
And all of you Chips,
Good-bye all you Crunchies,
Peanuts and Dips,
Good-bye Eta-nut,
Farewell Chocolate Raisin,
To work with you guys
Was truly amazing!

So sad that the radio
Was controlled by a male,
It spouted stink-music,
And sports without fail.
While our Grandmas and Mothers
Would turn in their grave,
At jokes that were told us,
We poor blushing maids!

But..you gave us a power,
That was terribly funny
You all came to us,
When you wanted some money!
We know that you’ll miss us,
We carried such clout,
Especially when,
The computers were out!

To visit the canteen,
Was worth all the trips
The food was so awesome,
Just look at our hips!
So thanks for the memories,
And we promise you this,
We won’t say who it was,
We saw the boss kiss!

So farewell to you all,
We hope you will miss us,
Thanks for your goodwill,
Support and your kisses!
Good-bye Cookie Bear,
And all of you Chips,
Good-bye all you Crunchies,
Peanuts and Dips

Good-bye Eta-nut,
Farewell Chocolate Raisin
To work with you guys
Has been truly amazing!
Good-luck to you all
You’ve been a fabulous laugh,
So think of us sometimes,
Your ex -office staff!
