She's Back Again: Christmas Poem
Lorraine Roxon Harrington, who calls herself an inveterate sinner, writes a poem for this season of spending.
Xmas Comes but once a year
And we celebrate God’s Son
I spend and all my money goes
On Gifts and Food and Fun.
Xmas come and then it’s gone
Now comes the hardest part
Paying off the credit cards
It really breaks my heart.
Xmas comes just once a year
We rejoice and praise God’s Son
I’m glad God didn’t have more kids
It costs enough for one.
Written by an inveterate sinner.
With apologies to those who keep
The true meaning of Xmas.
