Here's Alison: Life's Highway
As she travels down life's highway, Alison Ross has learned to recognise true gold.
I have traveled down life’s highway
Looking for the gold, at the end of the rainbow
I didn’t notice my steps slowing down,
Now…it seems, I’m content to tread softly, slowly,
For I know, time has taken a ticket,
Jetting me to the grave,
And the gold once unobtainable
Is splashed on every leaf
On every flower
And my eyes are hurt by its brilliance.
Yet somehow, I savour each moment,
On the way to the end,
Of my journey!
