Here's Alison: Katie's Child
Alison Ross writes in sadness and in anger of a babe that was not allowed to be born.
Katie’s child will never see
Angels, on a Christmas Tree
Tinsel, bells, and festive fare
Because her mother, didn’t care
Katie’s child won’t ever play
On the beach on summer’s day.
Building castles to the sky
Katie’s child won’t ever cry!
Katie’s child won’t jump for joy
Little girl or little boy,
Tiny hands and trusting eyes
Swings and slides and muddy pies.
Katie’s child won’t ever be
Cause Katie, didn’t want her…see
How sad to think, we’ll not be thrilled
By this child, that Katie killed!
