Here's Alison: Just Do It
Alison Ross's poem brings a simple three-word instruction to all those who procrastinate.
I thought I’d write a letter
To my old and ailing friend
But I put it off and never wrote
Before she met her end.
I thought I’d give my neighbour flowers
To thank her for some relish
But when I got around to it
The flowers looked all hellish.
I thought I’d send a card
When the lass turned twenty-one
But I put it off for far too long
Cause now, she’s married with a son.
So I’ve made a resolution
So never more, I’ll feel, I blew it
Quick as the thought comes in my head
I won’t procrastinate - JUST DO IT.
