Here's Alison: Detective Ally

Alison Ross tells of Detective Ally who can clean and shop and garden, cook the tea, then solve a murder overnight.

I’m tired and I’m grumpy
I’ve not had time for me
I’ve cleaned I’ve shopped I’ve gardened
And I’ve cooked the blinkin’ tea.

So now its time for bed
But I’m off to the UK
I’ve a murder there to solve
In a little seaside bay.

The heroine is sexy
While the butler’s rather greasy
Perhaps he is the killer
So I’d better take it easy.

I will solve this little murder
I know I’ll do it quick
I’ll check out all the suspects
Cause I know how people tick.

The owner of the house
Was bashed upon the head
They found him floating in the bay
Cold and very dead.

There has to be a motive
I’m sure I’ll find it soon
Maybe money is the answer
And someone’s facing ruin.

It’s getting close to midnight
My body's longing for some sleep
Perhaps an hour or two of shuteye?
I really do need sleep!

My mind was overtired
But this morning I was blest
And I knew the butler was the killer
He might as well confess.

Another murder case is filed
So next week I’ll take a look
And find another case to solve
In my new library book.
