I rode my bike this morning
Showed Sissy my wee snail
Checked out the roadside drain
And bought Mum in the mail.
I jumped upon the trampoline
And played in the sandpit with my car
And then I did the thing
That I like best by far.
I went over to the place
Where my Poppa works all day
And helped him with his work
I’m never in the way.
Now Mummy might get angry
And Daddy start to scowl
But Poppa is my friend…
And I, am Poppa’s Pal.
