Isn't it wonderful –
one life is knit with another –
is knit with many!
You are there,
holding a cup of coffee in your hand –
but at the same time you are here
in my heart and mind.
You think you are alone in what
you are called upon to bear and do –
but not so –
you are never alone when you are loved –
you are within those whose lives you share.
Whatever it may be that troubles you
is diminished by the love of those
who have learned to care.
All your burdens are lessened and absorbed
in the hearts of those who love.
Many roses grow on a single bush,
each rose having a beauty of its own,
put together, they make a garden
too glorious to be told.
