Here's Alison: The Two Dollar Bill

A shopping bill presented to Alison Ross by her son prompted the following poem.

"Your Independent Son"
Was written at the top
And underneath the items
For which he’d gone to shop

He was just a young lad
It was his money he had lent
So he handed me a Bill
To show what he had spent!

"A dog collar, and a rope
On which to hang the clothes
And if you pay me by tonight
No Punch in the nose!"

(Arent boys delightful?)
