Here's Alison: Spot's Puppies

Alsion Ross's delightful poem features a very special family occasion.

An inspection was due
Straight after tea.
They were taking Grandma
Spot’s puppies to see.

Grandma pretended
There couldn’t, be TEN?
And loved the insistence
Of her little men.

Then Grandma asked grandson
Who’d been at school for a year
How many boys and girls are there dear?

"Equal" said grandson, her giver of joys
And he told his Grandma
"Five Girls and Five Boys!"
