Here's Alison: Honest Eyes

Alison Ross's poem advises that a man's character can be seen in his eyes.

How will I know he loves me
That he’s not just telling lies?

You’ll know he’s true my darling
If he has honest eyes.

Well what are honest eyes Mum
How will I know he’s true?

He’ll look straight at you Darling,
Into your eyes of blue.

And you’ll see the truth in them dear
For he won’t have much to hide

He’ll look straight at you darling
And you will see his pride.

You’ll know that such a man dear
Will never tell you lies

If he looks straight at you darling
With his clear and honest eyes.
