...Today I sit and write,
Today I fight the fight...
To keep the juices flowing a writer must write, as William Burkholder demonsrates so vividly.

Dressed on paper,
With Indian ink,
Pictures,
Words,
What I think,
Metered rhymes
Of telling times,
The places
Where I have been.
Of what impact
Will they have,
A hundred years from now?
It matters little,
For that I do not own.
Today I sit and write,
Today I fight the fight,
To keep the juices flowing,
To keep,
The writer’s sight.
