Here's Alison: Graffiti
Alison Ross is fed up with young people who are running amok, spraying graffiti around town.
Some young folk today are running amuck
They graffiti our town…it really does suck
Like dogs with a hydrant all they do is to spray
Multi-coloured filth…which they think is okay
Whose kids are these madam? are they yours , are they mine?
Graffiti artists…these lazy young swine?
The Council have spent mega-dollars to repair
What these kids are destroying, it doesn’t seem fair…
Over footpaths and shops, does this artwork seem mystic?
Cause quite frankly madam, its not the least bit artistic!
Where are their parents, while the kids are destroying
They should be teaching them how to be worth employing
The police need more power, I'd wish them the best
If they could make these young people clean up their foul mess
But I guess I’m just dreaming, cause while parents don’t care
That their kids are are not home, just somewhere out there
Maybe our anger at the despoiling should be
Directed at parents too blind to see
What hope for a future have any of these young?
Out there in the night having some fun
Graffiti as such, is here for the duration
God help us all…and God help our Nation.
