Dr Ron's Laughter Clinic: Are Holes There, Or Not There?

Ron Pataky’s poem raises a simple question: can you see a hole?

In Short, Is a “Hole” a Presence, or an Absence?

It’s one of my goals
This matter of holes.
(I’m not sure the whole thing is fair.)
Does a hole into view
Mean that something is new?
Or that something is no longer there?
Let’s face it, a hole
(Though it sounds rather droll)
May fool you until you come to it.
You can beg and cajole
But you can’t see a hole.
(What you’re probably seeing
Is through it.)
