Here's Alison: Baby Boy

There's nothing sadder than the death of an infant. Alison Ross's poem expresses that greatest loss.

You hardly knew
Your Mummy’s arms
Or your Daddys smile
You came into the world
And stayed
For such
A little while.

Little One
You are gone
And our memories
Are so brief
For the odds
Were stacked against you
And our hearts
Are filled with grief.

Here in this
Little chapel
Our heads
Are bowed in sorrow
God willing
We will meet again
In a happier
Tomorrow.
