Is poetry pleasure or pain?
It depends on the mood and the vein,
A wordy excrescence
or intellect's essence
To concentrate truth in quatrain.

Butterfly
Cocooned through winter
Freed by spring, ephemeral
As blossoms floating
Gale
Sea sounds on dry land
Torturing oceans of leaves
Into green fury
Dry Season
Small pool of water
Blue-patching wide brown bed
Defying cloudless zenith
Rain?
Unbelieving ears
Expectantly turned upward
Delight suspended
Bark
Grey shreds of tree skin
Dangling discarded, tattered
Like shed snakeskin
