Studied at G.S.M. Taught physical education till 1963. Sang in numerous recitals & concerts. Operatic debut 1971, when he created role of Britten's Owen Wingrave. Glyndebourne debut as Count in Figaro 1973,also as Don Giovanni 1977. Also sang with E.N.O. & at Aldeburgh & Covent Garden.
Has a warm sympathetic baritone voice, and is a notable singer of lieder. He is still alive.
