Adult life
Opera debut as Cherubino with the Welsh National Opera in 1962, also at Covent Garden 1963. Other successful Mozart roles have been Constanze & Fiordiligi (notably at Glyndebourne), Pamina (1969 San Francisco debut) & Donna Anna (1971 Cologne).
She has been a guest singer in leading opera houses & is a noted lieder singer. Her full creamy lyric soprano has been heard in many Verdi roles.
