Adult life
Opera debut Vercelli 1911 as Alfredo in Traviata. Created role of Ruggero in Puccini's La Rondine Monte Carlo 1917. He sang in Chicago 1919 - 32, and at New York Met 1932-5.
A superb lyrical tenor with impeccable phrasing, he sang in such roles as Don Ottavio, Duke of Mantua, & Massenet's Des Grieux & Werther. He retired in
1957 & taught in Rome & wrote an Operetta.
