About Our Words: All The Things You Are
William Kellog joins in Tony Thornton's enthusiasm for the classic Broadway love song All The Things You Are.
Message by William Kellogg from Sacramento CA -
I completely agree with Tony Thornton's assessment of this truly classic Broadway love song by Kern and Hammerstein. He is right. It is full of magic from beginning to end, and the chord progressions are as beguiling as they are difficult.
I have sung it and heard it a thousand times: Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Michael Jackson, and Willie Nelson.
Like a gem(my view) or a bad penny it keeps coming back again and again, sometimes as the companion of insomnia!
I think it is rightly called the greatest popular love song ever. Thanks Jerome and Oscar for you gift to us!
