U3A Writing: Complete Silence
In this poem Elwyn Frankel tells of an ideal start to a day.
Quietly, peacefully, calmly
I watched the river flow by
No sound did I hear as the water ran clear.
Hushed as the moon in its flight.
Slipping and sighing in silence
Not even a fish to make waves.
I thought I must be in a capsule
Oh! What a great start to my day.
