About Our Words: The Sinking Of The Warwick

Pauline Peters from Aldridge, West Midlands, was interested to read an account by Ken Holmes of the sinking of H.M.S. Warwick.

Pauline writes:

I was very interested to read this account of the sinking of the 'Warwick'.

My brother Bill Royle (Blackpool) was also on the Warwick when it sank but never spoke about it. Of course, because I was only ten years old when it happened nothing would have been mentioned to me. It would be nice to know if anybody remembers my brother. His friend Percy was one of the unlucky ones. Bill died a number of years ago.
