Away With Worry: Autumn
Angela Black’s poem heralds the arrival of keen Autumnal days.
Goodbye Summer, you've done us proud
Mostly blue skies and rarely a cloud
Sometimes grey skies, and sometimnes a storm
Thunder and rain
And once a hurricane
Buyt now it is Autumn
Birds still twitter
A few late butterflies
Quietly flitter
Across the flower beds
Now in decline
For this is the end
Of Summertime
Summer green will turn to gold
Awesome brilliance, not to be told
All we can do is stand and stare
While relishing all the keen Autumn air
