Christmas Every Week: Land-Mine Christmas
Arnold Kellett wrote this poem in memory of Princess Diana.
What would you like for Christmas?
An artificial leg?
A nice new plastic hand, perhaps?
Useful when you beg...
Prosthetics - and prevention,
Is how our programme's styled
No more the blast that lies in wait
To mutilate a child.
We'll build a world that's bomb-proof,
Brave Christmas amputee,
Where hands and feet are flesh and bone
And every child runs free.
