Away With Worry: Progress Pilgrim

Angela Black reaches an awareness of her own potential.

Oh to dump this hump in a sump
The whole pack of it
Dragging like a dead weight
Bending my back with it
Muse, musings, self, self-centredness
Miserly miserly
With a hill to climb as -
-as difficult as could be
Oh, to hell with it!
Let my heaven, my dawn break

I can struggle through any valley
Swim any river
And take my gifts to my Jerusalem
I can sow and reap
With any plodding peasant
And sit, and swig, and sleep
In the hayfield of labour's heyday
I can sing with any nightingale
Could I but stop lamenting and fluttering.
