Away With Worry: Nice Snow Man
Angela Black’s poem expresses a child’s desire for a long freeze.
Cold white stars in the icy night,
Cold white moon gleams frosty bright.
Glittering, glinting, nice Snow Man,
Stay there for ever - if you can.
Beneath my window sparkle and shine.
Today I made you and you are mine.
I will play with you every day,
Unless summer comes and you melt away.
I suppose it will - I suppose you might.
But not yet Snow Man - please - "Goodnight"
