Western Walkabout: The Strength Of Weakness

It’s the weak that often weather the storm, as Richard Harris’s poem reveals.

The mighty oak, in all his strength
Could not endure the storm
He crashed down in the high wind

The old, trembling willow, shivered and shook
Lost a few leaves
And a twig or two
But came lightly through the howling wind
To endure the blasts from seasons to come
His weakness was his strength
