About Our Words: Nursery School

An article by Henry Jackson prompted June Wellsman from Bow, London, to recall her school days.

June writes:

I remember going to nursery school when I was two and half opposite Victoria Park. They had little green camp beds for the children. In the afternoon we went to sleep. I remember my mum and grandma watching me though the railings when I was in the school playground. That was 76 years ago. If only we could go back in time.
