Away With Worry: Just A Bean-bag?
Angela Black's poem concerns a lucky dog - and a lucky girl.
Mimi says she's just a bean-bag
For me to curl up and be comfy on
Not true. I guard and I bark and I raise the alarm.
I take her for walks and I keep her from harm.
She'd be lonely and sad if I was gone.
A dogs-body bean-bag for me to sleep on
Is what she calls herself. Poor Mimi!
But I'm also there for her to weep on
When she needs a friend. Lucky me. Lucky Mimi.
