Away With Worry: How It Began
Angela Black's poem tells of a first meeting and an infinite bond.
He was there at his drawing board
My first day, and at my desk
A shy smile at first, and then
Wouldn't you like to know the rest?
"I saw you walk the fields at break.
I sometimes walk there too, would you?''
"Oh sorry, today I promised another
Next time it could be you.''
Didn't I let him know the other
Was another typist at my desk?
And we went our seperate ways that weekend
For me excited stress, and he to guess.
We walked the fields on Monday
Had our first time-lingering kiss
Made our first time rendezvous,
Picnic in the woods, what bliss!
A bond now binds our affinity
Passing trhough time to infinity.
