Feather's Miscellany: Earthfolk
John Waddington-Feather’s poem tells of the power of the humblest creatures.
Lowliest of creatures,
the bumbling mole and sightless worm
play havoc with my lawn.
Subterranean miners they live their lives
below, rarely see the sun and dwell
in darkness all their lives.
Yet one has undermined vast cities
And the other eaten up whole empires.
