Away With Worry: Summer Seaside
Angela Black brings us another poem for children.
While daddy digs a castle
And mummy hunts for shells
And Rover turns his nose up
At such peculiar smells
While grandpa reads his paper
(Though you can hear him snore)
And everybody's busy
Along the sandy shore
I like to leave the family
Happy at their play
I like to wander lonesome
I like to slip away
Away along the seashore
To have a little think
To listen to the breakers
Along the lonely brink.
