Away With Worry: Mummy In The Evening Glow
Angela Black brings us another children's poem.
Soft blue eyes has mummy
and pretty golden hair
A comfy knee has mummy
In her big armchair
And there she tells me stories
In the firelight glow
Until I see the witchea
Flitting to and fro
And fauns and squirrels peering
Round the shadowy screen
But I’d rather have my mummy
Than any fairy queen.
