Away With Worry: Biscuits For A Treat
Angela Black brings us another poem for children cencerning Meggie, a pet cat.
I'm in big trouble once again.
She gives me biscuits for a "treat";
I hide them in the cushions on the suite,
Scratch and scrabble with claws and nose.
But what's this got to do with rain?
Dogs hide them for a "rainy day"
The vet says, and Mimi says "he knows!"
It means I'm given too much to eat
And I'll get fat, so no more "treat"
But no more spanks; and no more rain.
