Here Comes Treble: Christmas Again
"It’s Christmas again –
Oh, woe is us!''
Isabel Bradley longs for a peaceful meal, and being waited on hand and foot.
It’s Christmas again –
Oh, woe is us!
Everyone makes such a fuss!
Wouldn’t it be good –
If only we could –
To ignore the whole bang shoot?
But no – it’s got to be
Too much food
And probably
Too much family!
And hugs and kisses
That few people mean,
And Merry Christmases –
Until we meet again!
I’d rather be
Peacefully
At a restaurant somewhere,
Being waited on hand and foot.
To everyone who reads this ditty –
It wasn’t really meant to be witty –
But it does come with very sincere good wishes for a Festive Season spent in the company of people you love, shared with lots of good-will, sincere happiness and laughter!
