Word Acts: The Wake
Larence Willson's poem emphasises that deeds are all in all.
There lie in each occasion
creator and destroyer
gross, subtle, causal at once
showing the difference and
hiding the wake, on the make
Knowing my unknowing, who
I am, proves barely enough
I must know too what to do
and instruction come not with
knowing, yet with doing just
Deed be all in all, ‘tween all
