Eternal Life

"I recall hearing a piece of music and feeling as if another dimension of life was opening up for me. I remember standing in front of a work of art and being transported with delight into what seemed to be another world. Sometimes a poem has triggered off all sorts of exciting harmonious feelings. Conversion

"I wonder if too much prominence has been given in Church circles to the sudden conversion of St Paul. A superficial reading of the biblical accounts suggest this profound change all took place in the space of a few moments on the road to Damascus. Some commentators, however, regard his conversion as the result of a long search. They even suggest he spent several years afterwards 'in Arabia' working out the implications of his conversion experience. I am sympathetic to this point of view,'' writes William Sykes.

The Story Behind Visions Of Glory

"What happens when a priest thinks he has lost his faith? I was thirty years old, and faced with this situation saw three options: leave the Church; stay put in the Church and go through the motions; or stand my ground and fight.
