Poetry Pleases: There Are Angels Sneaking Up On Me

Tony Ellis's short poem is full of wonder and delight.

There are angels sneaking up on me.
I know
Because
From the corner of my eye
I see bright flapping wings
That are golden
Then are gone

Angels are sneaking up on me
I never quite see them
But they run giggling
Down the stairs ahead of me

Angels are sneaking up on me
I see them in the glow of light
That shines through morning trees
And glints on early dew

There are angels sneaking up on me
I know because
I hear their laughter in my heart
