Poetry Pleases: The Sky

Without the sky
The world would be
A dismal place
For you and me.

Brian Lockett's witty poem will first make you smile, then make you think.

Without the sky
The world would be
A dismal place
For you and me.

There’d be no blue
Above our head,
But simply ... well,
Nothing instead.

The clouds would go
To God knows where
And everything
Would look quite bare.

In fact, I think
We ought to try
To ditch the world,
But keep the sky.
