now
amid strife and stone
let the dream
sing through your fingers
carrying you to the brink
of that golden river...

find the big dream
to fly high, to soar
with self, soul & spirit
away from the shadows
that surround you like
cobwebs

find the big dream
to stretch
across the sky
to soar your wings so high
with self, soul & spirit
till that delicate of
desires becomes real

fill that dream here
now
amid strife and stone
let the dream
sing through your fingers
carrying you to the brink
of that golden river

there, the sun will rise
upon you with colours
of the seven heavens
ribbons of hope
will embalm you
till the rainbow is born
within your bosom

so, today may be squeezed dry
of beauty
pummeled by plastic promises
things of broken words
but, rise still
