This wonderful poem by William Burkholder tells of a gentle summons to our true home.

The dove,
On wing and wind,
Whispering,
Calling my name,
To soar with her
Through heavenís gate.
To find the arms of peace,
Embraced by angelic frond,
And lit upon with forgiveness,
Grace, and glory.
Aye the winds,
The wings,
Calling,
Calling me
Home.
